Winter Paintings by Denise Casey

It takes a warm sun and no wind for me actually to stand in the snow and paint, but winter in Connecticut is so beautiful that it’s worth braving the cold. And it’s not just brilliantly sunny days that make for eye-catching winter scenes—sometimes it’s the stillness of a fog over the marsh or a stark, steely grey sky. These paintings include scenes along the Connecticut shoreline, but also locations in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
